Infrastructure & Roads
Reliable roads and infrastructure are essential to daily life in Fort Bend County. Our roads affect public safety, commerce, and how our residents move throughout the community.
The Challenge:
Due to county growth, existing roads and infrastructure have faced increased wear, congestion, and maintenance demands.
My Solution:
Maintenance is top priority. I will work diligently and transparently making sound use of taxpayer dollars by investing in technology and innovation focusing on upkeep of infrastructure and public safety—ensuring your dollars are spent wisely while protecting home values and supporting our local businesses.
Flood Control & Drainage
Flooding remains a serious concern for many Fort Bend County residents. Protecting our homes, businesses, and infrastructure requires long term planning and forward thinking.
The Challenge:
Heavy rainfall and rapid severe-weather development can increase flood risk when drainage systems and mitigation efforts are not properly planned or maintained.
My Solution:
Flood mitigation requires proactive planning and coordination, like improved drainage, reducing flood risk while working in partnership with local and regional organizations—always with a focus on public safety and protecting personal property.
Fiscal Responsibility & Stewardship of Taxpayer Dollars
Community residents expect the county government to be responsible with taxpayer dollars, especially as Fort Bend County continues to grow and develop.
The Challenge:
Community growth often brings increased budgets and more spending decisions, exponentiating the need for careful oversight.
My Solution:
Every dollar spent should be justified. I will work with complete transparency, a disciplined budget, and long-term financial planning that respects taxpayers and prioritizes essential services.
Responsible Growth & Planning
Fort Bend County’s rapid growth brings exciting opportunities when managed responsibly.
The Challenge:
Fort Bend County is not going to annex any more land. That is the limit of our growth. Unplanned or poorly coordinated growth puts strain on infrastructure, drainage systems, and county services. We should focus on economic growth. Not expansion. Taking land from residents, ranchers, and farmers is not a responsible solution.
My Solution:
Growth should be deliberate and well planned. I support thoughtful community development that considers infrastructure capacity, long-term costs, and community impact. Economic growth should be at the forefront. Inviting businesses back to once thriving communities, not simply building more communities. Responsible planning also means listening to and prioritizing residents and their concerns while working together on solutions for the betterment of our community.
Accountability & Open County Government
Government works best when residents fully understand how decisions are made and feel heard in the process.
The Challenge:
When a county government feels distant or unclear, trust erodes.
My Solution:
I believe county government should be open, accessible, and accountable. Projects should not just have a website to see the status a project, but they should also have metrics. Elected officials need to commit to listening to Fort Bend County residents, communicating clearly and honestly, and making transparent decisions that build trust and strengthen our community.
